Dia de los Muertos
We celebrated Day of the Dead this year, and even tried to make our own alter for Oma, Martin's mom. Preparations began during the last week of October. We helped make homemade candles, others made "tlechalies" special "Day of the Dead" cookies, and string garlands of marigold flowers. We also helped prepare food to place on the alter and for us to eat.

How meaningful to remember Oma Lois together in these ways.
Your kids are getting such a waldorf-like experience there, being so connected to the earth, their community, their food, their own creativity...
again grateful to connect with your life in this way...
i will dream in spanish tonight.
