Some time Off Part 1

Somehow we acquired a bunch of comp days - working 3 weeks and 3 weekends in a row. Sigh.
So we decided to go away for a bit. We took the Saturday night bus to Mexico City and spent Sunday in Xochimilco at the floating gardens.
The gardens were started when people built barges made of reeds with dirt placed on top. As people planted Poplar trees along the edges of the barges, the roots attached themselves to the bottom of the lake. Now there are series of canals and the barges have become land.
